Bataleon Snowboards 2014 Review
Bataleon Snowboards are well known as a market leader in advanced snowboard technology and base construction. Their highly unique TBT (triple base technology) has been developed and tweaked over many years to produce superior anti-catch edges, super-fast bases, quick edge to edge response and float in the white stuff! A few seasons back we saw the release of an entirely revamped range. Flex patterns were softened off making Bataleon much more rider friendly along with the re shape of every model with the distinctive ’blunted’ nose and tail. The width of the blunted section also depicts the width of the now full length triple base section.
The Bataleon Boss
(tested Jan 2013 by J.Young. Boots: Salomon F22, bindings: Switchback)
The all-new 2013/14 Bataleon BOSS is to the EVIL TWIN what the GLOBAL WARMER is to the AIROBIC: A Pumped up version with high spec features! This new twin snowboard has all the same stats as its famous brother the EVIL TWIN; Core Core, Tri ax glass, lightning edge, sintered base with a true twin shape and of course features Bataleon’s popular twin TBT (triple base technology). The added feature is the carbon reinforcement (carbon crosses) under the binding area adding extra torsional stability, pop and life which makes this board a perfect upgrade for any ET fan!
Don’t think this board is just for the park! It carves brilliantly all over the mountain and can handle high speed runs with ease; the TBT also helps you stay buoyant on those epic powder days. Overall this board is great for any up and coming all terrain rider who wants a board to grow with them or an experienced park shredder wanting to raise their game. 2013/14 RRP £399.95.
